Duties

• Operate lawn mowers, trimmers, hand tools, power tools, and other landscaping equipment to perform mowing, edging, trimming, and general lawn care.
• Maintain landscape features including planting beds, shrubs, trees, and hardscape elements such as pathways and patios.
• Identify various plants, trees, and flowers to ensure proper care and health; perform pruning and tree trimming as needed.
• Manage irrigation systems to ensure efficient watering schedules and troubleshoot issues with sprinklers or irrigation equipment.
• Apply pesticides or fertilizers following safety protocols to control pests and promote healthy plant growth.
• Assist with snow plowing during winter months to keep pathways clear and safe for pedestrians.
• Support construction or renovation projects involving landscape installation or hardscape features as required.

Qualifications

• Mechanical knowledge of landscaping equipment, hand tools, power tools, and irrigation systems.
• Experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture preferred.
• Ability to identify different plant species and understand basic plant care requirements.
• Knowledge of pesticide management and safety procedures related to chemical application.
• Construction experience or familiarity with excavators is a plus for larger landscaping projects.
