Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of grounds maintenance and landscaping equipment, including mowers, power tools, weed eaters and irrigation systems, ensuring safe and efficient use at all times.
• Perform lawn care tasks such as mowing, edging, fertilizing, aerating, and overseeding to promote lush, healthy turf.
• Conduct landscape maintenance activities including planting, pruning, tree trimming, shrub care, and garden bed upkeep.
• Manage irrigation systems—installing, repairing, and adjusting sprinklers to ensure optimal watering schedules for different landscapes.
• Execute hardscape projects such as installing pathways or retaining walls when needed to enhance landscape aesthetics.
• Follow strict safety protocols during all activities to ensure personal safety and compliance with regulations.
• Assist with seasonal tasks like snow plowing during winter months to keep outdoor spaces accessible and safe.

Qualifications

• Proven outdoor work experience with grounds maintenance or landscaping preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of lawn care equipment, power tools, hand tools, and irrigation systems.
• Knowledge of horticulture practices including plant identification and plant health management.
• Experience operating groundskeeping machinery such as mowers, excavators, or tree care equipment is a plus.
