Landscaper/Laborer

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Landscape Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and a keen interest in maintaining and enhancing landscapes. This role involves various tasks related to groundskeeping, landscape maintenance, and the use of power tools to ensure that our clients' outdoor spaces are beautiful and well-kept.

Responsibilities

• Perform groundskeeping duties including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns.
• Build and install landscape features such as patios, walkways, and retaining walls (hardscape).
• Dig holes for planting trees, shrubs, and flowers.
• Care for trees through pruning, fertilizing, and pest management.
• Operate power tools safely and efficiently for various landscaping tasks.
• Maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants and lawns.
• Assist with snow plowing during winter months to keep properties accessible.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and to client specifications.
• Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.

Skills

• Experience in landscape maintenance or groundskeeping is preferred.
• Ability to build structures such as patios or walkways using hardscape techniques.
• Knowledge of lawn care practices including fertilization and pest control.
• Proficiency in tree care techniques including planting, pruning, and maintenance.
• Familiarity with snow plowing operations during winter months is a plus.
• Strong ability to dig, plant, and irrigate effectively for optimal plant health.
• Competence in using various power tools safely for landscaping projects.
• Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively on-site.
