Landscape Laborer

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscape Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and a strong understanding of various landscaping techniques. This role involves physical labor and requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of landscape aesthetics and functionality. The Landscape Laborer will work on various projects, including lawn care, tree care, hardscaping, and irrigation installation.

Duties

• Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, and edging lawns.
• Assist in the installation of hardscape features including patios, walkways, and retaining walls.
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various landscaping tasks.
• Utilize mechanical knowledge to maintain equipment and troubleshoot minor issues.
• Carry out tree care activities including pruning, trimming, and removal as necessary.
• Implement irrigation systems to ensure proper water distribution for plants and lawns.
• Engage in gardening tasks such as planting flowers, shrubs, and trees according to design specifications.
• Participate in snow plowing during winter months to maintain accessibility of properties.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in landscaping or related fields is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of lawn care practices and landscape maintenance techniques is essential.
• Familiarity with horticulture principles is a plus.
• Ability to operate excavators and other heavy machinery safely is desirable.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to landscaping tasks.
• Strong physical stamina to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
• Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow instructions from supervisors effectively.
