Duties

• Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, gardening, pruning, and planting to ensure healthy and attractive outdoor areas
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely for tasks including edging, trimming, digging, and installing landscape features
• Support the installation of hardscape elements like patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other construction projects
• Perform tree care activities including trimming, pruning, and removal to promote safety and aesthetics
• Maintain equipment including lawn mowers, excavators, irrigation systems, and other machinery through routine checks and basic repairs
• Help with snow plowing operations during winter months to keep pathways clear and accessible
• Support irrigation system installation and maintenance to ensure efficient watering of landscapes

Requirements

• Basic mechanical knowledge for operating tools and equipment safely and effectively
• Experience or interest in lawn care, gardening, landscape maintenance or horticulture practices
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, excavators or other construction machinery is a plus
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy materials and working outdoors in various weather conditions
