Landscape Laborer

Duties

• Assist with landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, and trimming trees and shrubs
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment such as lawnmowers, trimmers, blowers, and excavators safely and efficiently
• Support planting projects by preparing soil, planting flowers, shrubs, trees, and installing landscape features like hardscape elements
• Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting for leaks or clogs and assisting with system adjustments
• Perform general site cleanup including debris removal, mulching, and snow plowing during winter months
• Follow safety protocols related to pesticide management, plant identification, and equipment operation
• Collaborate with team members on landscape installation projects and routine maintenance tasks to ensure quality results

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in landscaping
• Experience or interest in landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture is preferred
• Ability to identify common plants and understand basic plant care requirements
• Knowledge of irrigation systems operation and troubleshooting is a plus
• Prior construction experience or familiarity with hardscape installation is advantageous
