Landscape Laborer

Job Summary

Duties

• Assist with landscape installation, including planting trees, shrubs, flowers, and installing hardscape features such as patios and walkways
• Perform lawn care activities such as mowing, edging, trimming, fertilizing, and aerating to keep outdoor spaces vibrant and healthy
• Support landscape maintenance tasks including pruning, tree trimming, irrigation system setup and repairs, and snow plowing during winter months
• Operate hand tools (shovels, rakes, pruners), power tools (trimmers, blowers), and construction equipment like excavators under supervision
• Conduct routine landscape upkeep such as weed control, mulch installation, and soil preparation to ensure high-quality results
• Assist with tree care activities including planting, pruning, cabling, and removal using appropriate techniques and safety procedures
• Support the installation of irrigation systems and perform general gardening tasks to promote healthy growth

Experience

• PRIOR LANDSCAPE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with landscaping equipment enhances performance on the job
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and small construction machinery safely and effectively
• Knowledge of horticulture principles related to plant health and landscape design is a plus
• Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions
