Irrigation Technician

Sikorski Landscaping is seeking a motivated and dependable Irrigation Technician to join our growing team. Experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate who is eager to learn and build a career in the irrigation industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and installing irrigation systems for residential and commercial properties.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair irrigation system issues
• Locate and repair broken pipes and fittings
• Repair and replace sprinkler heads, rotors, nozzles, valves, and lateral lines
• Install new irrigation systems and components
• Program and troubleshoot irrigation controllers and timers
• Perform seasonal irrigation inspections and system audits
• Adjust sprinkler coverage for maximum efficiency and water conservation
• Troubleshoot electrical and wiring issues within irrigation systems
• Identify drainage and water management issues
• Diagnose and repair pump systems, master valves, and flow sensors
• Communicate irrigation recommendations and repair needs to management
• Document completed work with photos and service notes
• Take before and after photos of repairs and installations
• Record materials used and repairs performed
• Maintain accurate service records through company software

Advanced Irrigation Skills Preferred

• Experience troubleshooting and repairing 2-Wire Irrigation Systems
• Ability to diagnose communication issues within 2-wire systems
• Experience working with decoders and decoder-based irrigation systems
• Knowledge of Hunter, Rain Bird, Toro, and other commercial irrigation systems
• Experience locating faults in 2-wire paths and field wiring
• Ability to use wire trackers, valve locators, and diagnostic equipment
