Irrigation Technician

Job Summary

Duties

• Install new irrigation systems, including automated control units, sprinkler heads, valves, and related equipment, ensuring proper setup and functionality
• Perform routine irrigation maintenance to optimize system performance and prevent failures
• Troubleshoot and repair irrigation system issues such as leaks, clogs, electrical faults, and system malfunctions using diagnostic tools and technical knowledge
• Conduct system inspections to identify areas for improvement or repair, including soil science considerations for efficient water use
• Operate hand tools, power tools, excavators, and other construction equipment safely during installation or repair projects
• Collaborate with landscaping teams to integrate irrigation systems seamlessly into landscape designs and ensure healthy turf and plant growth
• Provide exceptional customer service by explaining system functions, maintenance tips, and addressing client concerns effectively

Requirements

• Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in irrigation system installation and repair projects
• Strong understanding of automated irrigation control systems and electrical diagnostics related to irrigation equipment
