Landscaper - Resort Grounds

The Santa Lucia Preserve is a private community dedicated to appreciating and respecting the area’s natural beauty, geography, history, and cultural setting. The Preserve's 20,000 acres are home to a lively community of just under 300 families and a team of talented staff. Our Gatehouse at 1 Rancho San Carlos Road is just a few minutes from Highway 1 in Carmel. A scenic, winding road takes you into the heart of the Preserve in just 20 minutes.

We are currently accepting applications for a full time Landscaper who will be responsible for weed control, mowing operation, hardscape features, pathways, drainage work, irrigation installation and pruning. Scheduled hours are typically 6:30 am - 3:00 pm.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain the grounds, shrubs, and flowers according to specifications.
• Operate string trimmers to trim around flower beds, trees, and bushes.
• Trim trees and shrubs to maintain the health of the plant.
• Work with irrigation systems
• Handle fertilizing and seeding tasks.
• Operate light maintenance equipment.
• Aid in water conservation, drainage, preparing soil base, etc.
• Assist with pest control in accordance with Preserve guidelines.
• Landscaped areas will be cleared of all debris.
• Other tasks assigned as needed.

Qualifications

• Capable of kneeling, shoveling, raking, pushing, pulling, and heavy lifting.
• Ability to perform construction and landscaping related tasks in an efficient and well-organized manner.
• Operate small tools and equipment
• Good verbal communication skills
• Valid Driver's License and clean DMV report.
