Overview

As a Landscape Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces for residential and commercial properties. This position involves a variety of tasks that contribute to the overall aesthetic and health of landscapes, including lawn care, tree care, and hardscaping. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be skilled in using various tools and equipment to execute landscaping projects efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Perform lawn care activities such as mowing, fertilizing, and aerating to ensure healthy grass growth.
• Conduct landscape maintenance tasks including planting, weeding, pruning, and mulching to enhance the beauty of outdoor spaces.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various landscaping tasks.
• Operate excavators and other machinery for construction projects related to landscaping and hardscaping.
• Provide tree care services including tree trimming and removal as needed.
• Install and maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants and lawns.
• Assist in snow plowing during winter months to maintain accessibility of properties.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while adhering to safety standards.

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various landscaping equipment.
• Proficient in lawn care techniques and landscape maintenance practices.
• Experience in gardening, horticulture, and tree care is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with hardscape installation including patios, walkways, and retaining walls.
• Ability to use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, as well as power tools like blowers and trimmers effectively.
• Knowledge of irrigation systems design and maintenance is a plus.
