Landscape Technician

Duties

• Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, planting, and fertilizing to keep outdoor spaces healthy and attractive
• Operate hand tools, power tools, irrigation systems, and heavy machinery such as excavators safely and efficiently for various landscaping projects
• Identify different plant species and provide appropriate care tailored to their needs while managing pests with proper pesticide application techniques
• Install and repair hardscape features like pathways, patios, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures to enhance landscape functionality
• Conduct tree care activities including trimming, pruning, and removal while ensuring safety standards are met during all operations
• Maintain equipment through regular inspections and routine servicing to ensure optimal performance during landscaping tasks
• Assist with seasonal tasks such as snow plowing and winterizing landscapes to ensure year-round property upkeep

Qualifications

• Proven experience in landscaping, horticulture, or related construction fields with a strong understanding of landscape maintenance practices
• Mechanical knowledge of lawn care equipment, irrigation systems, power tools, and heavy machinery like excavators
