Landscape Technician

Duties

• Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, and trimming trees to ensure healthy growth and aesthetic appeal.
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for planting, pruning, and installing landscape features.
• Assist with irrigation system installation, repair, and maintenance to ensure proper watering of plants and lawns.
• Conduct lawn care activities such as fertilizing, aerating, and weed control to promote lush greenery.
• Carry out snow plowing during winter months to maintain safe access for clients and staff.
• Perform general landscape construction duties including excavation with equipment such as excavators and planting new trees or shrubs.

Requirements

• Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and landscaping equipment like trimmers, blowers, and excavators.
• Experience with lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening, and tree care practices.
• Knowledge of horticulture principles to support plant health and landscape design.
• Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions; ability to lift heavy materials when necessary.
