Responsibilities

• Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, pruning, planting, and watering to ensure healthy and attractive landscapes.
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for various landscaping projects.
• Install and maintain irrigation systems, ensuring proper functioning for optimal plant health.
• Perform tree care including trimming, pruning, and removal with proper techniques to promote safety and growth.
• Support hardscape projects by preparing sites, laying pavers or stonework, and assisting with construction of features like patios or walkways.
• Manage snow plowing operations during winter months to keep pathways safe and accessible.
• Conduct plant identification and pesticide management tasks following safety protocols to maintain healthy landscapes.

Experience

• Prior experience in landscaping, gardening, or grounds maintenance is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of horticulture principles including plant identification, lawn care, and landscape design fundamentals.
• Familiarity with irrigation systems installation and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, excavators, and other landscaping equipment.
• Construction experience related to hardscape installation or land development projects is a plus.
