Landscape Maintenance Technician

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Landscape Laborer to join our team and contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of outdoor spaces. This role involves working on various landscaping projects, ensuring the health and aesthetics of lawns, gardens, and hardscape features. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work, possess relevant skills in landscape maintenance, and be eager to learn and grow within the industry.

Duties

• Assist with landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, weeding, spraying, and fertilizing.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and small equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain irrigation systems to ensure efficient watering of landscapes.
• Conduct tree care activities such as trimming, pruning, and planting.
• Support construction projects related to landscape installation or renovation.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and ensure safety protocols are followed at all times.
• Assist with seasonal tasks such as snow plowing during winter months.

Skills

• Mechanical knowledge related to landscaping equipment and tools.
• Experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture preferred.
• Ability to identify various plants and trees accurately.
• Knowledge of pesticide management and application is a plus.
• Familiarity with irrigation systems installation and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with lawn care techniques including mowing, edging, and fertilizing.
• Skilled in operating hand tools, power tools, mowers, string trimmers, etc...
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards.
• Good physical stamina for lifting heavy materials, digging, and performing manual labor over extended periods.
