Duties

• Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, edging, and pruning to keep outdoor areas pristine and inviting.
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely for planting, digging, and installing landscape features.
• Support the installation of hardscape elements like patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other structures.
• Help with tree care activities including trimming, pruning, and planting to promote healthy growth.
• Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting for leaks or malfunctions and performing basic repairs.
• Prepare sites by clearing debris, leveling ground, and assisting with excavation using equipment like an excavator under supervision.
• Perform seasonal tasks such as snow plowing and de-icing to ensure safety during winter months.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in landscaping.
• Prior experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, or gardening is highly desirable.
• Construction experience or knowledge of hardscape installation is a plus.
• Ability to operate equipment such as an excavator or other small machinery safely after training.
• Strong understanding of horticulture principles including tree care and plant health.
• Knowledge of irrigation systems, snow plowing techniques, and general landscape upkeep.
