Duties

• Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, and planting to ensure vibrant and healthy outdoor spaces
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as excavators and irrigation systems safely and efficiently
• Identify different plant species and assess their health to recommend appropriate care or treatment
• Manage pest control by applying pesticides responsibly following safety protocols and regulations
• Install and repair irrigation systems to optimize water efficiency for lawns and gardens
• Assist with hardscape projects such as patio installation, retaining walls, or walkways using appropriate construction techniques
• Conduct tree trimming and pruning to promote safety and aesthetic appeal while practicing proper horticultural methods

Experience

• Previous experience with landscaping, gardening, or outdoor maintenance preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided
• Mechanical knowledge related to operating lawn equipment, power tools, excavators, or irrigation systems is highly desirable
• Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices including lawn care, plant identification, and snow plowing enhances your effectiveness in this role
