Responsibilities

• Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, pruning, and edging to keep grounds pristine.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and small machinery including excavators and irrigation systems safely and effectively.
• Identify various plants, trees, shrubs, and flowers to ensure proper care and health.
• Support planting projects by preparing soil, planting new greenery, and transplanting existing vegetation.
• Maintain landscape features by performing hardscape work such as installing pathways or retaining walls.
• Manage irrigation systems for efficient watering schedules and troubleshoot issues as needed.
• Perform seasonal duties like snow plowing or winterizing landscapes to ensure year-round beauty and safety.

Experience

• Prior experience in landscaping, gardening, or groundskeeping is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates.
• Knowledge of horticulture principles including plant identification, pest management (including pesticide application), and landscape maintenance techniques.
• Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, and small construction equipment such as excavators is a plus.
• Experience with tree care activities like trimming or pruning enhances your ability to contribute effectively.
