Groundskeeper

The Groundskeeper is responsible for landscaping and grounds maintenance services for the organization. The Groundskeeper assists maintenance or other departments as needed. Performs work orders and preventative maintenance tasks as defined by the hospital’s management software program. The groundskeeper assists maintenance with minor patch paint, and plumbing tasks. The Groundskeeper participates in quality assurance performance improvement activities.

It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support the organization strategic plan, the goals and direction of the quality assurance performance improvement process, and activities.

Requirements

• Valid California State Driver’s License with clean driving record
• Minimum of three to six (3-6) months related experience and/or training in grounds maintenance
• Functional knowledge of turf management, irrigation systems and maintenance, herbicides/pesticides
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Additional languages preferred.
• Must possess good work ethics and a professional image at all times
• Possess strong communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills
• Works responsibly in a team environment as well as independently
• Manages confidential information effectively and appropriately
• Ensures the planters and lawn areas are well maintained according to the design plan. These areas are free of weeds and unwanted plants. Ensures ground cover such as mulch or bark is maintained.
