Skilled Park Laborer / Groundskeeper

Job Summary

Edwardsville Township is seeking an experienced Skilled Park Laborer/Groundskeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in various outdoor tasks, including landscaping, lawn care, and maintenance. This role requires proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and operating machinery such as tractors.

The Skilled Park Laborer/Groundskeeper will contribute to the upkeep of properties through effective landscape maintenance, tree care, and hardscape installation. A bachelor's degree in environmental science, forestry, park management etc. or 5 years of equivalent experience required. This position also requires interaction with park patrons to ensure safety and enforcement of park rules and policies.

*Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

*Reliable transportation is required.

*Preference may be given to Edwardsville Township residents.*

Knowledge

• CPR, First Aid, and AED Certified
• Knowledge of turf management and groundskeeping.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety practices and regulations.
