PARK OPERATIONS - Grounds Maintenance I - Full-time

The purpose of this job is to perform manual work functions associated with maintaining the grounds and facilities of Tuscaloosa County Park and Recreation. Maintenance shall include, but not be limited to, mowing green spaces and/or sports fields, planting, pruning, edging, mulching, applying lime, fertilizer, and insecticides, maintaining irrigation systems, field lining, cleaning buildings, restrooms, collecting litter, and assisting in the overall safety and appearance of the park and/or facility.

Operates a variety of equipment, including, but not limited to, the following: Mower, Tractor, Groomer, String Trimmer, Hedge Trimmer, Edger, Chainsaw, Line Marker, Rake, Pressure Washer, and Blowers.
