Mower/Landscaper

Duties

• Operate lawn mowers, trimmers, hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment such as excavators to maintain lawns and landscapes efficiently.
• Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, planting, and mulching to enhance aesthetic appeal.
• Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues to maintain healthy plant life.
• Identify various plants, trees, and shrubs to ensure proper care and pest management; apply pesticides responsibly when necessary.
• Conduct tree care activities such as trimming, pruning, and removal to promote safety and growth.
• Install or repair hardscape features like pathways, patios, retaining walls, and other landscape structures.
• Maintain safety standards by using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to safety protocols during all operations.

Experience

• Proven experience in landscape maintenance or gardening with a strong understanding of horticulture principles.
• Mechanical knowledge of landscaping equipment including mowers, trimmers, power tools, and irrigation systems.
• Construction experience or familiarity with hardscape installation is a plus.
• Knowledge of plant identification and landscape design principles to support sustainable practices.
• Experience with snow plowing or winter maintenance is beneficial for year-round service.
