Lawn Care Technician

We are seeking a dependable, experienced, and detail-oriented Lawn Care Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three (3) years of professional lawn care experience, with extensive knowledge of fertilizer applications, pesticide and herbicide treatments, and turf disease identification and control. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, customer service, and delivering exceptional lawn care results.

Position Summary

The Lawn Care Technician is responsible for providing professional lawn treatment services that promote healthy, attractive landscapes for residential and commercial clients. This role includes the safe and accurate application of fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, and other lawn care products, as well as diagnosing and treating turf diseases and pest issues. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable, self-motivated, and committed to delivering outstanding service while adhering to all safety and environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities

· Apply fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, and other lawn treatment products according to company standards and all applicable state and federal regulations.

· Diagnose and treat lawn diseases, insects, weeds, and other turf health concerns.

· Evaluate lawn conditions and recommend appropriate treatment plans.

· Operate and maintain spray equipment, spreaders, and other lawn care equipment safely and efficiently.

· Maintain accurate service records, application logs, and customer documentation.

· Communicate professionally with customers regarding services performed, lawn conditions, and treatment recommendations.

· Follow all OSHA, EPA, and state licensing requirements for chemical handling and application.

· Perform routine equipment inspections and report maintenance needs.

· Maintain a clean, organized work vehicle and ensure proper storage and handling of chemicals.

· Provide exceptional customer service while representing the company in a professional manner.

Required Qualifications

· Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in lawn care and turf management.

· Proven experience with the application of fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, and turf disease control products.

· Strong knowledge of weed identification, insect control, and turf disease diagnosis.

· Ability to safely mix, apply, and handle lawn treatment chemicals.

· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

· Strong communication and customer service skills.

· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Physical Requirements

· Ability to walk, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.

· Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

· Comfortable working outdoors in heat, humidity, rain, and other weather conditions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
