Landscape Crew Member

Job Summary

:

The landscape maintenance team member will be responsible for efficiently provide landscape maintenance support to high end private residences and commercial properties, will operate landscaping equipment, and ensure the upkeep of plant material and other landscaping elements.

Duties / Responsibilities

· Cutting turf, trimming, and edging along borders, and blowing using power equipment

· Pruning shrubs and low trees to improve the growth habit or remove damaged branches

· Planting and maintaining flower beds and applying mulch.

· Picking up trash and debris

· Performing weeding by hand or using a garden hoe or hula hoe

· Maintaining a polite, friendly, responsive demeanor with guests and customers

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/ Abilities

. Ability to work & multi-task in a fast-paced environment

· Ability to operate various lawn care machinery including mowers, edgers, backpack blowers

· Ability to safely operate hand and power equipment, including but not limited to manual and powered saws and cutters

· Ability to push, pull, grip, and squeeze various tools for pruning

· Ability to safely perform heavy lifting/pushing/pulling of various landscaping equipment and materials, including, but not limited to backpack blowers, large containers of mulch/plant material, various sizes of lawnmowers, etc.

Education and Experience

· One year of experience in lawn care

· Bilingual in Spanish a plus

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

· Work involves considerable exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.

· Extensive physical activity, ability to bend, stoop and twist continuously throughout the day.
