Duties

• Mow lawns using power mowers and hand tools to achieve a clean, manicured appearance.
• Trim trees, shrubs, and hedges with pruning shears or power trimmers to promote healthy growth and aesthetic appeal.
• Install and maintain irrigation systems to ensure optimal watering schedules for diverse plantings.
• Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as edging, mulching, planting, and weed control to keep properties looking pristine.
• Operate construction equipment like excavators for site preparation or hardscape installation when needed.
• Identify various plants, trees, and shrubs to ensure proper care and pest management practices are followed.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely for tasks including digging, planting, pruning, and general maintenance.
• Assist with snow plowing operations during winter months to keep pathways clear and safe for clients.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical knowledge of tools and equipment used in landscaping and maintenance tasks.
• Experience with landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture is highly desirable.
• Ability to identify common plants, trees, and pests; knowledge of plant health is a plus.
• Familiarity with pesticide management practices following safety guidelines.
