Lawn & Landscape Crew Member (Path to Crew Leader)

Smith and Lloyd Landscaping is hiring crew members to join our growing team. This is hands-on outdoor work — and a real path forward.

You'll start as a Crew Member running mowers, weed eaters, and blowers; helping install mulch; and helping with hedging and other landscape work alongside an experienced Crew Leader. As you grow, the next step is Crew Leader (running your own 2–4 person crew), and from there the path opens up to salaried roles like Field Operations Manager, Account Manager, and Sales.

We're a small, growing company in Mills River. We're also setting ourselves up as a profit-sharing business, with vested equity possible for the right people over time.

The Work (Day to Day)

- Mowing, weed eating, edging, blowing

- Hedging and pruning

- Mulch installation

- General landscape work on residential, commercial, HOA, and property management accounts

- Loading and unloading the truck and trailer at the start and end of each day

The Path

- Crew Member — hourly, $19–22/hr to start

- Crew Leader — running your own crew (typically within a few months for the right person)

- Salary — Field Ops, Account Management, or Sales as you grow

Requirements

- 18 or older

- Government-issued ID (needed for payroll)

- Able to work outdoors in all weather

- Authorized to work in the US

- Able to lift 50 lbs

- Comfortable working in heat
