Duties

• Assist with landscape maintenance tasks including irrigation startups, repairs and installs
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely for tasks such as digging, trimming, and installing landscape features
• Use equipment like excavators and snow plows to perform large-scale projects or seasonal clean-up operations
• Maintain irrigation systems, ensuring proper operation and troubleshooting issues as needed
• Support hardscape projects by preparing sites, laying pavers or stonework, and installing features such as patios or walkways
• Perform tree care activities including trimming, pruning, and planting to promote healthy growth
• Conduct irrigation system blowouts at the end of season

Experience

• Prior experience with landscaping or hardscaping is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated learners
• Mechanical knowledge is a plus for operating equipment like excavators or power tools safely and effectively
• Familiarity with lawn care techniques and landscape maintenance practices is advantageous
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
• Basic understanding of horticulture principles and garden management is beneficial
