JOB DESCRIPTION: * Under the direction of a Crew Leader, constructs, plants, maintains, and repairs new landscape areas in assigned sections of campus. * Operates ground maintenance equipment including lawn movers, trimmers, edgers, backpack and street blowers and pressure washer equipment. * Prunes trees and shrubs. * Removes trash and debris from assigned areas of campus. * Monitors and activates irrigation systems. * May apply fertilizer and pesticides to landscape areas. * May drive utility vehicles to and from worksites. * Performs related responsibilities as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * A high school diploma or equivalent. * One year of landscape or grounds maintenance experience. * Some positions within this classification may require a valid Category 24 Ornamental and Turf Control Pesticide Applicators License from the Georgia Department of Agriculture or the ability to obtain certification within six months of employment. * Some positions within this classification may require a valid Georgia driver's license, an insurable driving record and the ability to lift 50 pounds and to bend, stoop and twist.
