The Parks Grounds Maintenance Crew Leader oversees the maintenance of the Greenways Trail. They will also provide maintenance, design and installation of landscape beds in numerous neighborhood parks located throughout the Parks system. The ability to work the numerous Park events held at Nathanael Greene/Close Memorial Park is required.

Qualifications and Requirements

Experience, Education, and Training

* Requires at least three years experience in performing general maintenance of commercial landscape grounds or parks with the operation of medium-duty equipment such as mowers, tractor/front-end loaders, etc.;

AND

* Depending on assignment, requires at least three years experience operating backhoes or boom mowers, performing integrated pest management operations, or installation and servicing of landscape automatic irrigation systems.

PREFERRED

* Experience in directing/leading the work of others.
