Duties

• Maintain lawns by mowing, edging, aerating, and fertilizing to ensure lush, healthy turf.
• Perform landscape maintenance including pruning, trimming trees and shrubs, planting flowers, and mulching beds.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as excavators and snow plows safely and efficiently.
• Manage irrigation systems by inspecting for leaks, adjusting controllers, and repairing components to ensure proper watering schedules.
• Identify various plants, trees, and pests; apply appropriate horticultural practices or pesticides following safety guidelines.
• Install or repair hardscape features like walkways, patios, retaining walls, and other landscape structures.
• Conduct seasonal tasks such as snow plowing during winter months to keep pathways accessible and safe.

Requirements

• Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with experience operating landscaping equipment and hand tools.
• Strong background in landscape maintenance and gardening.
• Knowledge of pesticide management practices and safety protocols.
• Construction experience or familiarity with hardscape installation is preferred.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy materials (up to 75 pounds), bending, digging, and standing for extended periods.
