Objective

: To safely and effectively apply herbicides to commercial and residential landscapes while maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. The Landscape Herbicide Spray Technician is responsible for promoting healthy, weed-free landscapes through proper identification, treatment, and preventative maintenance practices while providing exceptional customer service.

Job Description

The Landscape Herbicide Spray Technician is responsible for inspecting landscape areas, identifying weeds and invasive vegetation, and applying herbicides using industry-approved methods and equipment. This position requires a strong understanding of herbicide products, application techniques, safety procedures, and environmental stewardship. The technician works independently and as part of a landscape maintenance team to ensure properties meet quality standards while maintaining accurate application records and following all licensing requirements.

Job Responsibilities & Essential Functions

· Identify turf and landscape weeds, invasive plants, and other vegetation requiring treatment.

· Safely mix, measure, and apply herbicides according to product labels, company standards, and applicable regulations.

· Operate and maintain backpack sprayers, ride-on sprayers, UTV-mounted spray equipment, and other application equipment.

· Inspect properties before and after treatment to evaluate effectiveness and identify additional service needs.

· Monitor weather conditions to ensure safe and effective herbicide applications.

· Maintain accurate application records, chemical usage logs, and required regulatory documentation.

· Follow all OSHA, EPA, state pesticide regulations, and company safety policies.
