Landscape Gardening Crew

Not many focus on being top experts in the field of horticulture (plants!). Frankly, we think it's the best part too, so we're happy to take care of the plants in people's yards.

*Work outside*, learn about landscaping, plants, and work with great people! Switzer Landscaping is a full-service landscaping company with a full retail garden center (Roots Garden Center). Job satisfaction comes regularly from seeing what a project looked like before to what we build, and you'll be a big part of that impact!

*Work Monday through Thursday, 7 AM-5:30 PM (four ten hour shifts with 3 day weekends)!* This seasonal position includes working with a crew leader to fulfill daily tasks. These tasks include learning correct pruning techniques, maintaining and growing plants and trees in yards, irrigation, planting, maintaining, and manicuring shrubs, and perennials, removing aged landscape to refresh with new designs, and more. Every day is new. Each day brings fresh challenges, and crew team members contribute an important role to our team and to our customers; along the way, crew team members can expect to learn valuable life skills and trades that they can use for a lifetime.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Must be willing to work outside in all weather conditions.
• Must be able to perform construction or grounds maintenance tasks
• Knowledge of basic landscaping tools such as lawnmower, drills, weed eaters, etc.
• Must be able to take orders from crew supervisors
• Punctual and reliable
• A great attitude
• Works well on a team

The employer will train all landscaping work.
