THIS IS A PROFESSIONAL DESIGN & SALES ROLE — NOT ENTRY LEVEL

Rogers Landscape is seeking an experienced Landscape Designer / Design Consultant to join our high-end residential design-build team.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about creating beautiful outdoor living spaces while building strong relationships with homeowners. You'll lead clients through the design process, help them visualize what's possible, and develop into a trusted design consultant with unlimited earning potential.

This is not a drafting-only position. We're looking for someone who enjoys meeting with clients, solving problems, presenting creative solutions, and wants to grow into a top-performing designer and sales professional.

You should already know how to

Conduct residential site visits and evaluate existing conditions
Design functional, attractive outdoor living spaces
Listen to clients and translate their ideas into practical designs
Select plants, hardscape materials, lighting, and other landscape elements
Present design concepts professionally
Collaborate with construction teams to ensure projects are practical and buildable

If you do not have professional residential landscape design experience, this role is not the right fit.

THE ROLE

As a Landscape Designer / Design Consultant, you'll guide homeowners through the entire design experience—from the initial consultation through the completed design and ultimately a signed construction contract.

You'll conduct on-site consultations, create custom landscape concepts, prepare professional presentations, and collaborate closely with our estimating and production teams to ensure every project is both beautiful and buildable.

While design is your primary responsibility, you'll also learn our proven consultative sales process. Over time, you'll become increasingly involved in presenting projects, helping clients make confident decisions, and earning significant commission through your performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct on-site homeowner consultations
Evaluate site conditions and client goals
Design custom residential landscapes and outdoor living spaces
Create professional 2D and 3D landscape designs and presentations
Design planting plans, irrigation concepts, lighting plans, drainage solutions, and hardscape layouts
Select materials, finishes, and plant palettes
Present design concepts confidently and professionally
Revise designs based on homeowner feedback
Collaborate closely with estimating and production teams
Learn and follow our consultative sales process
Maintain accurate CRM records and project documentation
Represent Rogers Landscape with professionalism and integrity

NON-NEGOTIABLE QUALIFICATIONS

2+ years of residential landscape design experience
Strong understanding of landscape construction methods and materials
Experience designing patios, retaining walls, planting, irrigation, lighting, and outdoor living spaces
Proficiency with landscape design software such as Structure Studios, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Land F/X, Realtime Landscaping, or similar
Strong communication and presentation skills
Excellent organization and attention to detail
Self-motivated and coachable
Comfortable meeting directly with homeowners
Valid California driver's license
Ability to commute daily to Loomis, CA
