Landscape Assistant

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscape Technician to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining the aesthetic appeal and health of various landscapes, including residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and an eye for detail, ensuring that all landscaping tasks are completed to the highest standards.

Duties

• Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, and edging lawns.
• Execute hardscape installations, including patios, walkways, and retaining walls.
• Conduct groundskeeping activities to ensure clean and attractive outdoor spaces.
• Dig and prepare soil for planting flowers, shrubs, and trees.
• Provide tree care services, including pruning and removal as necessary.
• Operate snow plowing equipment during winter months to maintain safe access to properties.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition through regular inspections and basic mechanical repairs.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.

Skills

• Proficient in landscape maintenance techniques including mowing, digging, and groundskeeping.
• Knowledge of hardscape installation processes and materials.
• Experience with snow plowing operations is a plus.
• Strong mechanical knowledge for maintaining landscaping equipment.
• Ability to perform tree care tasks safely and effectively.
• Excellent attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality work.
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
• A passion for gardening and landscape design is highly desirable.
