Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a team of employees, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.
• Oversee daily operations including inventory management, sales strategies, and customer service excellence.
• Maintain the store's visual standards, ensuring that displays are attractive and products are well-stocked.
• Implement effective landscape maintenance practices to enhance the store's outdoor areas.
• Manage scheduling and training for staff to foster a knowledgeable team focused on customer satisfaction.
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure quality products and timely deliveries.
• Monitor financial performance through sales reports and adjust strategies as necessary to meet goals.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the store environment.

Requirements

• Landscape and/or Building Materials Experience is recommended
• Store manager experience recommended
• Retail experience recommended
• English/Spanish bi lingual
• Strong knowledge of garden care, irrigation systems, artificial turf, hardscape, tree care, lawn care, and general landscape maintenance practices.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Proficient in using point-of-sale systems and basic computer applications for inventory management.
• A passion for gardening and landscaping is highly desirable.
• Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends (Saturdays) as needed.
