Summary

The Irrigation Technician at Urban Dirt Landscaping is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of irrigation systems across client properties in the Austin area. This role ensures landscapes receive efficient water distribution while promoting water conservation and system longevity. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and experienced in diagnosing irrigation issues in a fast-paced commercial environment.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair commercial irrigation systems including controllers, valves, sprinkler heads, drip systems, and piping
• Perform routine system inspections to identify leaks, broken components, coverage issues, and inefficiencies
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic irrigation problems
• Program and adjust irrigation controllers based on seasonal needs, weather conditions, and water restrictions
• Conduct system audits to ensure optimal performance and water conservation compliance
• Repair or replace damaged irrigation components in a timely manner
