Duties

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of irrigation systems, including sprinkler heads, controllers, valves, and pumps using hand tools and power tools.
• Conduct regular inspections of irrigation infrastructure to identify leaks, clogs, or malfunctions and perform timely repairs.
• Adjust irrigation schedules based on soil science principles, weather conditions, and landscape requirements to optimize water usage.
• Perform soil testing and analysis to determine appropriate watering needs and ensure healthy turf and plant growth.
• Operate construction equipment such as excavators for system installation or repair projects requiring excavation.
• Collaborate with landscape maintenance teams to integrate irrigation systems seamlessly into overall landscaping plans.
• Maintain detailed records of system performance, repairs performed, and scheduled maintenance activities to ensure compliance and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Proven mechanical knowledge with experience working on irrigation systems or related mechanical equipment.
• Strong electrical diagnostics skills for troubleshooting controllers, wiring issues, and electrical components within irrigation setups.
