IRRIGATION TECHNICIAN

Duties

• Install, repair, and maintain irrigation systems to ensure optimal water distribution across landscaped areas
• Troubleshoot irrigation issues using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as excavators when necessary
• Conduct regular inspections of irrigation components, including valves, pumps, controllers, and sprinkler heads
• Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as lawn care, planting, pruning, and general landscaping projects
• Operate construction equipment safely to facilitate system installation or repairs in various outdoor environments
• Use horticultural knowledge to support healthy plant growth and landscape aesthetics
• Maintain detailed records of system repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities for accountability and future reference

Experience

• Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience working with irrigation systems or related equipment
• Familiarity with lawn care practices and landscape maintenance techniques
• Experience operating hand tools, power tools, and construction machinery such as excavators is highly desirable
• Background in horticulture or landscaping helps enhance understanding of plant health and landscape design principles
