Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Irrigation Technician to join our plant care team, responsible for maintaining and servicing large-scale commercial irrigation systems at Apple Inc. properties in Culver City, California. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in irrigation system troubleshooting, repair, and optimization, with a strong focus on water efficiency and system reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of commercial irrigation systems.
• Diagnose and resolve issues such as leaks, broken heads, valve malfunctions, wiring problems, and controller failures.
• Adjust irrigation schedules for seasonal changes and water conservation requirements.
• Monitor and maintain smart controllers, sensors, and water management technology.
• Assist in installation, retrofitting, and upgrades of irrigation systems.
• Document work performed and communicate findings and recommendations to supervisors.
• Collaborate with the irrigation team to ensure high-quality service across all client sites.
• Follow safety protocols and company standards at all times.
• Assist other company coordinated plant care events as scheduled to service our client.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in irrigation, repair, or installation (commercial/ preferred).
• Knowledge of irrigation system components (valves, controllers, pumps, sensors, drip, and spray systems).
• Familiarity with smart irrigation controllers and water management practices.
• Ability to read irrigation plans and system layouts.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to work outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions.

Preferred

• Certified Irrigation Technician (CIT) or similar certification.
• Experience with large-scale commercial or municipal landscapes.
• *WeatherTRAK* familiarity.

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
