Ground Crew - Tree Care

A Tree Care Ground Crew plays a vital role in the maintenance and care of trees in various environments, including residential and commercial. This position involves a combination of physical labor, teamwork, and adherence to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Tree Maintenance: Assist in the pruning, trimming, and removal of trees and shrubs under the supervision of the arborist
• Equipment Operation: Safely operate and maintain ground equipment such as chainsaws, wood chippers and loading and unloading materials.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure the safety of crew members and the public.
• Assistance to Climbers: Support tree climbers by providing tools, equipment, and materials as needed during tree care operations.
• Customer Interaction: Communicate with clients and the public in a professional manner, answering questions and providing information about tree care services.

Qualifications

• Physical Fitness: Ability to perform strenuous physical tasks, including lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions.
• Experience: ​ Preference will be given to candidates with personal experience using chainsaws and tying knots. Work experience in landscaping and construction will also be considered .
• Safety Awareness: Familiarity with safety practices and procedures in outdoor work settings.

Working Conditions

• Work is typically performed outdoors in various weather conditions.
• May require early morning starts and occasional overtime.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $28.00 - $36.00 per hour
