Experienced Landscaper / Hardscape Crew Leader

BT Property Services is looking to hire a reliable and experienced Landscaper with Hardscape experience who can also lead a mowing crew during the landscape maintenance season. This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys working outdoors, and capable of managing a small team.

We service high-end residential and commercial properties throughout Northern New Jersey and are looking for someone who is dependable, skilled, and ready to grow with our team.

Minimum Requirements

• 3+ years of professional landscaping experience
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive company trucks
• Must speak English (bilingual Spanish/English preferred)
• Ability to lead and manage a small crew
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Hardscape Experience (Preferred)

Applicants should have experience with some or all of the following

• Paver patio installation
• Walkways and pathways
• Retaining walls (block or stone systems)
• Concrete or masonry work
• Excavation and site preparation
• Base preparation (gravel, compaction, screeding)
• Drainage installation (French drains, pipe systems, dry wells)
• Cutting pavers and stone with saws
• Reading basic layout plans and elevations
• Operating equipment such as:
• Plate compactors
• Skid steers
• Mini excavators
• Power cutters and masonry saws

Landscape Maintenance Skills

Candidates should also be comfortable performing and supervising weekly landscape maintenance including:

• Commercial and residential mowing
• Line trimming / weed whacking
• Bed edging and definition
• Hedge and shrub trimming
• Leaf cleanup and seasonal property cleanups
• Mulching and bed preparation
• Basic plant care and pruning
• Blowing off all hard surfaces and walkways
• Operating commercial landscape equipment
