Commercial Landscape Estimator

Key Responsibilities

• Review construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents
• Perform quantity takeoffs for landscape, hardscape, grading, and site work
• Build detailed cost estimates including labor, materials, equipment & subcontractors (usually only irrigation)
• Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier pricing
• Prepare competitive bid proposals and scopes of work
• Maintain organized bid tracking and documentation
• Coordinate with project managers to ensure smooth handoff after project award
• Attend occasional pre-bid meetings and site walks
• Build & maintain relationships w/ GC estimators

Qualifications

• Experience in construction estimating (landscape, site work, or hardscape)
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
• Understanding of construction materials, prod rates, and job costing
• Proficiency with estimating software (LMN), spreadsheets, and digital takeoff tools (Bluebeam) - All preferred - not required
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
