Arborist Assistant

Duties

• Assist with tree trimming, pruning, and planting activities to promote healthy growth and aesthetics
• Operate equipment such as bucket trucks and chainsaws safely and effectively under supervision
• Support rigging operations for tree removal or branch pruning using appropriate techniques and tools
• Conduct landscape maintenance tasks including planting, and general site cleanup
• Support team members in maintaining safety standards during all arboricultural activities
• Learn, understand, and adhere to all safety rules and company safety policies
• Learn all required ground, climbing, and aerial lift duties in support of specific job assignments.
• Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, etc.
• Collect debris and refuse from tree trimming and removal operations. Load debris and refuse onto trucks and haul it away for disposal.

Requirements

• Must have a clean/valid driver's license. CDL a major plus.
• Drug tests are administered as well as background checks.
• Hard working, pays attention to details, professional
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, climbing, and operating machinery. Be able to lift 40+ lbs.
• Strong attention to safety procedures and teamwork skills to ensure a secure work environment
