Apartment Groundskeeper

Job Summary

We are seeking an Apartment Groundskeeper / helper to maintain the beauty, safety, and functionality of our residential community. This is an entry-level position where you will be assisting the lead maintenance technician in daily task associated with the upkeep and maintenance of the apartment complex. Work will be five days a week, Monday through Friday. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the grounds are well-kept, inviting, and safe for residents and visitors alike.

Responsibilities

• Perform lawn care duties including mowing, edging, fertilizing, and weed control to keep outdoor areas lush and healthy.
• Maintain landscape features such as flower beds, shrubs, trees, and hardscape elements like walkways and patios.
• Pick up the trash from areas and property daily.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and landscaping equipment such as trimmers, blowers, to carry out routine maintenance tasks.
• Conduct tree care activities including trimming, pruning, and planting to promote healthy growth and safety.
• Clear snow from walkways and parking areas using snow plowing equipment during winter months to ensure safety.
• Assist the property manager/maintenance technician with general apartment maintenance needs.

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge.
• The ability to carry 50 pounds.
• Proficiency in lawn care techniques including mowing, edging.
• Knowledge of operating a zero turn mower
• Ability to perform tree trimming, pruning.
• Excellent use of hand tools and power tools for various groundskeeping tasks.
• Ability to work outdoors in different weather conditions while maintaining safety standards.
• Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to grounds maintenance and repair needs.

Pay: $100.00 per day
