Seasonal Groundskeeper

Job Summary

Join our Getaway Cabins team as a Seasonal Groundskeeper and play a role in maintaining the beauty and health of our cabins and outdoor spaces. This position offers the opportunity to work outdoors, healthy landscapes, and well-kept grounds. You will be responsible for performing a variety of landscaping and maintenance tasks, utilizing power tools and manual equipment to keep our grounds pristine and inviting throughout the season. Duties

• Maintain lawns, gardens, and landscaped areas through mowing, edging, pruning, and planting.
• Operate power tools such as chainsaws, trimmers, blowers, and lawnmowers safely and effectively.
• Utilize power-washer, and backpack sprayers to cleanse and prep Cabins for staining/painting etc
• Apply pesticides and fertilizers following safety protocols to promote healthy plant growth while protecting the environment.
• Perform manual handling tasks including lifting heavy equipment, moving soil, mulch, or plants with proper technique.
• Conduct routine landscape maintenance including weed control, soil aeration, and planting new greenery.
• Inspect grounds regularly for hazards or maintenance needs and perform minor repairs or report larger issues promptly.

Experience

• Prior experience in landscape maintenance, painting, power washing is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Familiarity with irrigation systems, power tools, hand tools, and safety procedures is highly desirable.
• Ability to perform physical tasks involving heavy lifting and manual handling comfortably and safely.
• Knowledge of pesticide management practices to ensure safe application standards.
• Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to grounds upkeep and safety compliance.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining high energy levels throughout your shift.
