We are looking for a skilled and knowledgeable Pruner/Arborist to join our grounds maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the health, appearance, and safety of trees, shrubs, and other plants. Key Responsibilities

• Perform pruning, trimming, and removal of trees, shrubs, and other vegetation to promote plant health and maintain aesthetic standards.
• Inspect trees and plants for signs of disease, pest infestations, or structural weaknesses and recommend treatment or removal as needed.
• Operate tools and equipment such as pruners, saws, chippers, and climbing gear safely and efficiently.
• Provide proper care and maintenance of tools and equipment.
• Safely remove dead, damaged, or hazardous trees and branches.
• Apply treatments, such as fertilizers or pest control products, to improve plant health.
• Collaborate with the grounds maintenance team to plan and execute landscaping projects.
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and environmental guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including tree assessments and maintenance activities.
• Work cohesively with a team
• Receive and execute directions from senior team members and managers

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a pruner, arborist, or similar role in tree care and maintenance.
• Knowledge of tree biology, pruning techniques, and plant care practices.
• Familiarity with tools and equipment used in arboriculture, including climbing equipment.
• Arborist certification a plus
• Strong physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Certification from a recognized arborist organization, such as ISA (preferred).
