Grounds Maintenance - laborer

Position Overview

We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Grounds Maintenance Laborer to join our team. This role involves performing various tasks to ensure that outdoor spaces are well-maintained, safe, and visually appealing. Key Responsibilities

• Perform general grounds maintenance duties, including mowing, trimming, edging, and weeding.
• Clean and maintain outdoor areas, including lawns, walkways, parking lots, and landscaped spaces.
• Assist in planting and caring for trees, shrubs, flowers, and other vegetation.
• Operate and maintain groundskeeping tools and equipment such as lawnmowers, trimmers, blowers, and hand tools.
• Remove debris, leaves, and trash from grounds and maintain cleanliness of all outdoor areas.
• Assist with seasonal maintenance tasks, such as snow removal, leaf cleanup, or irrigation system maintenance.
• Follow instructions from supervisors to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
• Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company standards and environmental guidelines.
• Work cohesively with a team
• Receive and execute directions from senior team members and managers

Qualifications

• Prior experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping (preferred but not required).
• Ability to operate and maintain basic groundskeeping equipment.
• Strong physical stamina to perform manual labor and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to lift 20 pounds overhead
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• A valid driver’s license is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.75 per hour
