Lead Irrigation Technician (Managing Tech)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Irrigation Technician, also known as Managing Tech, to oversee and coordinate all aspects of irrigation systems and landscape maintenance projects. In this role, you will lead a team of technicians, ensure the proper installation, repair, and maintenance of irrigation infrastructure, and support overall lawn care and landscaping efforts. Your expertise in mechanical systems, horticulture, and construction will drive the success of our outdoor environments. Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of irrigation technicians, assigning tasks and ensuring quality workmanship across projects
• Oversee the installation, repair, and maintenance of irrigation systems using hand tools, power tools, excavators, and other construction equipment
• Conduct inspections of landscape areas to assess irrigation needs, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective solutions
• Coordinate with Home owners and Team members
• Maintain detailed records of system repairs, installations, inspections, and project progress
• Utilize mechanical knowledge to diagnose system malfunctions and perform repairs on valves, controllers, and piping
• Ensure safety protocols are followed during all operations involving heavy machinery like excavators or power tools

Qualifications

• Proven experience with irrigation systems, lawn care, landscape maintenance or related fields
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and repair irrigation equipment and related machinery
• Familiarity with landscaping practices including horticulture principles and land management techniques
• Skilled in using hand tools and power tools.
