Landscaping Crew Member

Duties

• Assist with landscape maintenance activities such as mowing, pruning, planting, and fertilizing to keep outdoor areas healthy and attractive
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery including trimmers, blowers, lawnmowers, excavators, and irrigation systems with safety and precision
• Support hardscape projects by helping install pathways, patios, retaining walls, and other structural features
• Identify various plants, trees, shrubs, and flowers to ensure proper care and maintenance
• Perform seasonal tasks such as leaf removal to maintain year-round landscape beauty
• Follow safety protocols during all operations and report any equipment malfunctions or hazards promptly

Requirements

• Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with landscaping equipment and hand tools
• Prior experience in landscape maintenance or gardening is preferred but not required; a willingness to learn is essential
• Construction experience or familiarity with hardscape installation is advantageous
• Ability to operate power tools safely and efficiently; experience with excavators or other heavy machinery is beneficial
• Strong physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions
• Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward learning new techniques
• Valid driver’s license may be required for equipment operation or transportation purposes
