Landscape Maintenance Foreman

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage landscape maintenance crew(s), ensuring all team members understand daily objectives and perform work to Oceanview’s standards.
• Perform daily truck and trailer inspections, ensuring all equipment, tools, and materials are secure, operational, and safely loaded before leaving the yard.
• Drive company trucks with trailers and ensure safe operation and proper transportation of equipment.
• Oversee crew timekeeping, including clocking the team in and out accurately using the company’s software.
• Ensure proper use, care, and basic maintenance of all machines and tools, addressing issues immediately and reporting major repairs to management.
• Follow the daily and weekly maintenance schedules and adjust as needed based on weather, priorities, or client needs.
• Direct and implement proper landscape practices on all job sites to maintain consistent excellence across properties.
• Communicate effectively with managers, providing updates on job progress, challenges, and any client concerns.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency in workflows, routing, equipment use, and crew performance.
• Train, mentor, and guide crew members to ensure they understand best practices, safety procedures, and company expectations.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization for trucks, trailers, equipment, and job sites.
• Represent Oceanview professionally and ensure all work aligns with company values.

• Minimum (5) years of experience in landscape maintenance and crew leading
• Extensive knowledge and experience with maintaining high-end properties, while utilizing correct procedures to attain excellence on all of our jobs
• Clean, NYS driver's license
• The ability to prioritize and work efficiently in a high-energy environment
• Excellent communication skills - both oral and written
• Confidence, enthusiasm, respect, leadershi,p and a positive attitude
